O mater lvminis, mea domina
mvsaque mevm cor cepisti
mevmqve animvm delenivisti.
Tva absentia tenebras est et
abvsvs svm ne infaceta hominis
verba capere essentiam tvae
formae possent, qvamvis carvs
Paris decrevit vt Venus amoenissima
esset, neqve promissvm neqve
temptatio circvmagere svvm
te aspectvm potverit, nam tva
forma perfectionem vllae dea tviqve
ocvli ignem qvis illvstrior qvam
fvrtiva miseri Promethei flamma
est. Si avferre solvm basivm
carorvm porcellanorvm avscvlorvm
possem, serenvm caeli noscerem
sicvtque stvltvs Fortunae damnatvs essem.

(This poem was written originally in English and then translated into Latin, thus it is highly likely that there are numerous errors, and it’s not nearly as elegant.)
